On Saturday, April 24, the Friends of the Darby Library hosted an Open House. The Forest Service was kind enough to rearrange Smokey the Bear’s schedule, so he was able to stop by.
We also had Dick Estler demonstrating fly-tying at the library’s fly-tying desk.

Although we would have loved for more people to be there, we had fun watching the experts work their magic with flies and Smokey gave us all some goodies. We also had door prizes and almost everyone who came to the open house got something to take home.
Make sure to keep an eye on the library’s calendar for any other upcoming events.
